Barcelona are set to reward homegrown centre-back Pau Gubarsi. Who has become a regular under the coach, with a new deal until the end of the 2029-30 season.

His consistency has been remarkable this season. With the young defender featuring in all 36 matches played by Barcelona so far, alongside Jules Kounde. 

Since his promotion to the first team, he has already made 60 appearances for the club, a significant milestone for a player of his age.

Despite his defensive responsibilities, Cubarsi has contributed offensively as well. He has provided four assists, three of which came this season, and has been recognised for his performances on multiple occasions. 

He was named the best player in two Champions League fixtures—on his debut against Monaco last season and again this season against Brest.
