The centre-back from Bournemouth has become a sought-after player after impressing in the Premier League, with Los Blancos reportedly keen to sign him. However, Juanito believes Huysen should move to a club with guaranteed game time, suggesting that staying with the Cherries would be a good option.
“Dean will be a leader wherever he goes so I hope whoever takes him will make him a regular and he’s not a project for the future, he’s got to play now,” Juanito said.
“There are only a few players of his age who can do that, which is why I don’t know if signing for Real was a good option. No one can guarantee you will play with a good-looking face, but if he leaves Bournemouth, he shouldn’t be on the bench.”
“At Madrid, Eder Militao is 27 and Antonio Rudiger plays like a young boy. Those two are untouchable and the return of David Alaba is also above him – Carlo Ancelotti is a great manager but not a coach for young players. So Dean is the fourth choice at centre-back, that’s the reality.”
“At Barcelona, it’s the opposite. They’re not afraid to use players from their academy. But at Real, the problem is the club’s mentality. Dean needs to go to a team with a vision for the future and guarantee that he’ll play.”
“But maybe staying at Bournemouth and working with Andoni Iraola for another year would be the best option.”
